Current Positions


SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER

This individual is responsible for reviewing the requirements, designing, estimating, implementing, testing and deploying software applications. This will involve working with a team on large projects and/or independently on small projects.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience as a full-time employee with at least 5 years experience in Java/J2EE (Servlet, JSP, JDBC, XML). Must have professional application development experience and full product life-cycle experience.
  • Strong understanding of web frameworks like Struts or Spring.
  • Strong object oriented design and programming skills in Java with a firm understanding of general web technologies.
  • Strong relational database skills (data modeling, writing SQL statements, understanding performance and capacity issues, etc). Experience using Relational Databases with object oriented programs
  • Experience with XML technologies-XML/XSLT, XSL processors. Cocoon and XML Beans knowledge a big plus.
  • Understanding of W3C standards: XHTML, CSS, DOM, XSLT, XPath, HTTP.
  • AJAX-in both a Web browser and Java application environment is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of N-Tiered architectures for Internet-based applications.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Must be self-motivated, organized, and have the desire to be a strong team player with an emphasis on meeting team goals while personally enhancing their own programming skills.
  • Must have a commitment to creating readable code and modular and extensible software.
  • Strong problem solving skills with a history of driving the development of major software components.
  • Must work well under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.

Java UI DEVELOPER

This individual is responsible for reviewing the requirements, designing, estimating, implementing, and testing the client side experience and behavior of web applications. This will also involve working closely with the programmers to control interaction between the client and server systems and working directly with User Interface designers to accurately translate mockups into production pages.

We are looking for 3+ years of professional web development experience as a full-time employee using the common web standards and technologies including X/D/HTML, CSS, JavaScript, graphic design and browser compatibility. The candidate should have professional web application development experience and full product life-cycle experience. Must work well under pressure and be able to meet multiple deadlines.

Qualifications:

Must Have

  • Expert level ability with JavaScript programming and implementing web behavior and display.
  • Understanding of W3C standards: XHTML, CSS, DOM, HTTP.
  • Ability to work hand-in-hand with designers to accurately translate mockups into functional, production ready web user interfaces using clean, standards based CSS/XHTML.
  • Ability to work with programmers to integrate web pages into server side templates.

Preferred to Have

  • Familiarity with common JavaScript tools and libraries for display, compatibility and communications.
  • Knowledge of one or more AJAX frameworks such as JSON, MooTools, prototype, scriptaculous, etc.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Flash or other media display systems a plus.
  • Experience with XML technologies-XML, XSLT and web publishing.
