Stunning Wedding Locations in the Seattle Area October 2, 2009
Jennifer Zinchuk – Every wedding has its own feel and its own schedule. Many of our brides opt to schedule time during their wedding day (or sometime after) for an on-location photo session. Some brides want to take advantage of the beautiful sunsets over Puget Sound; while others seek stunning architecture to compliment their wedding style. Here are some of my favorite finds in the greater Seattle area!
University of Washington
This is a tried and true location. Every Saturday, you can find at least one wedding parading through Red Square. There are many known—and unknown—fabulous locations on campus. Without revealing my favorite secret spots, I’ll say this: take a couple hours and scout the campus before your photo shoot, and dream.

Saint Edward State Park
This monastery is old, romantic, and just too cool! Located just seconds from Bastyr University (with their stunning chapel) in Kenmore, WA, this virtually abandoned monastery sits in a state park. Warning to Photographers: you might need a permit to shoot here.

Dash Point State Park, Edmonds Ferry Area, Mukilteo Lighthouse
These are beautiful beaches located just outside of Seattle. Although they can be crowded at times, the stunning views, interesting landscapes, and cool waves make up for it! A word to the wise: be sure to check the tide tables before you plan a shoot on the sand!

These three spots are easy places to find inspiration. Whether is amazing architecture or romantic beaches you want, the Puget Sound region has it all!
