I would highly recommend Jules because she is really on top of things - she answers all of her email quickly, returns phone calls, has your number programmed already in her blackberry, schedules your engagement session early, and is very responsive. I LOOOVE that about her!! You're not wondering what is going on with your photos, because she is keeping you in the loop! She is a boutique photographer, which means that she doesn't mass produce her work and book clients just to fill her time. In interviewing for other photographers, the biggest thing that turned me off was when a photographer was late to our appointment, or was so busy on travel that they barely answered my voice mails or email inquiries. But i've never had that problem with Jules - she's super easy to reach and eager to help! I also love Jules' work & portfolio, which initially drew me in. She has a great classic eye for photography and weddings that most "contemporary" photographers are lacking. She is not just about the hip fad now, but about timeless pictures. I know that the pictures Jules takes and processes for us will be classic now and in 10 years, or 100 years. We had a great engagement session with Jules in June at the Santa Monica Pier. I was excited because Jules wanted to try a night session, which was one of her firsts. I like her ingenuity and willingness to try new things. :) Our session came out with great pictures and I can't wait to see the beautiful guestbook! :)

Out of all the vendors we worked with, Jules was always the most responsive and professional. Jules defiitely loves weddings, and it shows in the stories that unfold beautifully in our pictures. She has an amazing sense of energy, a fun personality, and an assertive yet not aggressive style that we were looking for in a photographer. My husband and I love our pictures! We may have convinced some of our friends and family to appreciate a less traditional, more "storytelling" style for pictures that say "we had fun, and so did our guests" vs. "so-and-so family sat at table X" or that "prom" style of bride & groom with X party.
