I would highly recommend Joey Ikemoto as a photographer for weddings, any other choice would be inferior. My family and I were totally impressed and blown away with the photographs from our special day. The quality and images of the photos that Ikemoto captured were spectacular. They were so specific and accurate to the emotions everyone felt throughout the day…..from the beginning, during the preparatory period to the ceremony and reception, the photographers did not miss a beat. Even though it has only been 6 months since our wedding, my husband and I still do get teary eyed when looking through the images from our wedding day. It is difficult to express into words the art and emotions he creates with his photographs, you have to just view it for yourself. In addition to the beautiful photographs we received, another benefit was that the staff was amazing to work with! They were punctual, organized, fun and personable. With the excitement of the day and the copious amount of details the bride has to think about, Joey and his staff were able to keep everything and everyone organized amidst the chaos. They knew how to keep things running smoothly and efficiently throughout the whole day. They were also helpful in providing suggestions to our videographer for capturing great camera angles; especially since our videographer was unfamiliar with working at our particular reception site. Being the bride for the day, you do have high expectations for how things will turn out, since it IS such an important day in your life. In terms of wedding vendors, choosing the best photographer was highest on my priority list. Speaking from the heart, I could not have chosen a better company than Joey Ikemoto Photography. They definitely surpassed my expectations in multiple areas. I can tell you that I could not have asked for a more professional, talented, experienced, brilliant, personable group of people to work with. So thank you Joey, Tracy and Gerry for all your hard work and capturing one of the most memorable days of our life on film.

although we live in the UK, and weddings are very different here we felt that the time spent with our son and daughter in law before their wedding and during the wedding made the photo taking and communication all round very reasuring and gave the photos a very relaxed feel. Joey is an all-around excellent photographer. He is very easy to work with and takes time to make sure that he understands what type of pictures you want and who should be in them. The photos turned out to be amazing and Joey's staff were very helpful and good at editing the photos to make them look their best. As far as price, it is expensive but very comparable to other professional photography studios. Looking back on the experience, Joey and his staff definitely made it worth the price and then some. Joey is a nice, friendly, and fun person. He and his assistant did an excellent job, no doubt about it. The only questions are for the administration/processing people at his studio. It took 2 months to uploaded the pictures to the pictage website. The wedding album took 3 months to finish (well maybe because I ordered La Vie album), and some of the pictures on the album were not the pictures I ordered (from 150 pictures I picked, the album only contains mostly 100 pics & still some of them not the one I picked).....but the album finished 5 months after my wedding & most of the pictures are correct.. so I just don't want to bother them about this. I ordered some 8x10 print-out couple weeks ago, when I picked up last week they're totally different from what I ordered. The numbers I ordered, which shows on the invoice, are totally different with the numbers on the back of the pictures printed, even the sizes are wrong, even by looking at those pictures I knew they're not the one. So I have to re-order and wait couple weeks to get my order ready. I'm not sure how they coordinate their office works... or is it because the computer software too old? Looks like they use DOS for the accounting & ordering... but I don't think for picture editing and storage you can use DOS anymore... now everything's in Windows.... well I'm not really sure about their computer systems though... Overall... I still recommend Joey Ikemoto...
