Tentative Itinerary (subject to modification and elaboration)

Note: If you’re not a member of the South Bend PUG, the program starts on Tuesday 5/8 at 8am.

Lunch and Dinner are not included on either day. We’ll break and scatter to local restaurants. Coffee and beverages are included, in addition to the Tuesday evening reception with an open bar and finger food.

A Photo Contest! And a free print for everyone.

Here’s something fun. Everyone who attends is invited to submit a favorite image, which we’ll display at the event as a 12×18 print. Joe, Gary and Jessica will pick a winner and two runners-up, and they’ll all receive a free 16×24 Acrylic Print. Everyone who submitted an image will get to keep their 12×18 print!

The deadline for submitting an image is Monday, April 30, 2012. Simply email your image to pugs@pictage.com. Some important things to keep in mind:

  • Put “South Bend image contest” in the subject line.
  • Include your studio name in the email.
  • One image per über-PUG attendee, please.
  • Make sure the image is 5400×3600 pixels. It can be as low as 2700×1800, but keep in mind that your image will be displayed next to prints created from higher-resolution images.
  • The prints will be displayed in the Woodward Room anonymously so people will ideally be voting for the image and not the photographer.

Shooting Workshops

The uber-PUG ends on Wednesday at noon. But that afternoon, we’re encouraging photographers to organize and lead shooting workshops. These will be completely self-organized by the photographer, and we’ll provide links to the sign-up pages for each workshop. So check back on this page, or visit the South Bend PUG Facebook page for the latest.

If you’d like to put together a shooting workshop, you’ll be responsible for creating a signup page (on your blog, FB page, etc), collecting money, getting any permits, securing models, reserving locations, communicating with your attendees, and letting people know when the workshop is full. Once you’ve figured out your logistics, we’ll post a link to your sign up page. Please contact Katie Whitcomb if you’re planning on organizing a workshop!
